Banquet Operations - Interviews 4/9/21
Wentworth by the Sea, a Marriott Hotel and Spa is accepting applications for the following positions seasonal positions in our banquet operations department: Banquet Server and/or Set-up Houseman.
Both these positions are front line critical to the operation of the banquet department and will provide a student with much needed operational experience if interested in banquet operations, event planning or catering/sales. Students will gain knowledge/exposure of the day-of organization of an event, translating a Banquet Event Order to the actual set-up and time line of an event, understanding of why logistical event planning is vital to the success of an event, step-by-step operation of an event, working with meeting planner/guests at an event, coordinating multiple events at once, planning and preparation for future events, etc.
Functions of the server position include but are not limited to setting and servicing buffets and plated functions for meetings and social events according to specifications for each function while exhibiting outstanding customer service.
Functions of the set-up position include but are not limited to moving furniture from storage areas to banquet rooms and setting up and breaking down furniture and supplies in banquet rooms according to specifications for each function while exhibiting outstanding customer service.
Service experience preferred but not required.
Flexibility in scheduling including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
