Events & Fundraising Assistant

Weston Theater Company seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and energetic Events & Fundraising Assistant to join our seasonal company as a member of our Young Professional Program. Weston's Young Professionals work alongside seasoned theater professionals to gain skills and experience during our creative and fast-paced summer season. Our Events & Fundraising Assistant is a key member of our Administrative Team who works closely with our Board of Trustees and our wonderful community of Patrons and Donors. 

EVENTS & FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT 
Seasonal, Full-Time 
Reports to: Director of Development  
Start Date: @ June 6, 2022 
End Date: @ August 21, 2022 
Housing: Shared bedroom, kitchen, and bath in company housing 
Compensation: $300 per week/ with overtime, housing included at employer's expense 
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
Assist the Director of Development in all day-to-day tasks of fundraising and donor stewardship, including data entry, mailings, gift acknowledgments, and other regular communications with donors. (30%) 
Serve as a point of contact for special events – large, small, and virtual - throughout the summer season, including our annual Gala and ongoing donor events. Provide administrative and hands-on support in event preparation, execution, and follow-up. (30%) 
Be a primary point of contact for all Producer Circle (major donors) ticketing requests and assist the Box Office in providing exceptional service to our donor community. Provide additional support to Audience Services as needed, such as ushering and will call. (25%) 
Attend Young Professional Career Development Meetings. (5%) 
Provide support for special events and/or company projects as needed. (10%) 
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
Strong interest in arts administration, communications, and/or event planning 
Prior experience in events, fundraising, or related fields is preferred  
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, collaborative, and communication skills 
Computer literacy and confidence a must; experience with Office 365 preferred 
Ability to work irregular schedules, including nights, with a positive attitude 
Ability to manage multiple, overlapping projects and personalities with grace 
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. safely with assistance 
At least 18 years of age
