Summer Internship – TV Development / Casting (Remote)

NYC-based production company Half Yard Productions is looking for a self-starting intern eager to dip
their toes into the unscripted development world this summer. This is a remote, paid position.

Hours:
- 6-hour workdays (11am-5pm ET, flexible)
- 3 days per week, between Monday-Thursday

Compensation: $15 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Extensive research for concepts in development
- Finding example stories for episodes, research into access points, deep-dives into trends,
history on subjects, etc.
- Reading (books & articles)
- Social media deep-dives – finding possible talent, hashtags, and companies for casting
projects
- Casting outreach
- Joining development meetings & brainstorms and taking notes
- Taking notes on talent calls and Skype interviews with talent
- Creating and maintaining Excel/Google Sheets for various data records (names, contacts,
concepts, etc.)

Prerequisites:
- 1 prior internship experience in media
- Must feel comfortable making cold calls
- Strong research and writing skills
- Detail-oriented & organized
- Be adept at using Google Drive
- Good sense of industry trends and pop culture
- Able to manage time & meet deadlines
Bonus: Skills/experience in editing & graphics (Adobe, Avid, Microsoft, etc.)
