Office Assistant - (1016)

Western EcoSystems Technology, Inc. (WEST), a dynamic medium size consulting firm with offices across the United States, is looking for a temporary Office Assistant/Receptionist in our Laramie, Wyoming office. Since 1990, WEST has grown to be one of the premier environmental and statistical consulting firms in the United States.   • Compensation: $13/hr, 20 hrs a week

Job Description:
  • Function as the receptionist including greeting guests and answering questions as well as maintaining the reception area.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate party.
  • Maintain phone system information, including telephone programming, voice mail administration, telephone features.
  • Route and manage electronic faxes.
  • Provide typing, spreadsheet preparation, and other clerical support as requested.
  • Copy, bind, and mail documents.
  • Receive and distribute mail; distribute UPS, Federal Express, and other deliveries.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, Federal Express, and UPS packages.
  • Understand building security systems and maintain keys for new staff.
  • Assist in keeping building security system and fire extinguishers serviced and up to date.
  • Understand role in Crisis Management Plan and Business Emergency Plan, participate in training, and be prepared to assist in a crisis event.
  • Manage tasks associated with various meeting functions, webinars, and the conference rooms.
  • Coordinate office-wide social events and assist with holiday events as requested.
  • Make travel arrangements for employees as requested.
  • Assist with marketing and conference logistics.
  • Manage all recycling needs.
  • Miscellaneous office tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate.
  • Two years recent administrative support experience desired.
  • Proficient using MS Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with diverse personalities.
  • Demonstrate and provide examples of organizational skills and customer-focused attitude.
  • Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize diverse workload.
  • Must have previous experience handling confidential information.
  • Job requires the person filling this position be able to appear for work on time, to follow instructions from manager, to interact effectively with coworkers and clients, to maintain positive attitude, and to accept guidance and constructive criticism.
