Biological Science Technician

USDA Agricultural Research Service is currently recruiting for a Biological Science Technician at https://www.ars.usda.gov/midwest-area/ in Columbia, MO.

Duties:   Responsibilities include perform a full range of techniques and studies using a variety of specialized equipment, adapt, modify, or develop new techniques or procedures to satisfy the needs of the research project, grow, maintain, and harvest plants in a greenhouse setting, collect, prepare, evaluate, and verify samples, and locate and compile data or other information from various sources.

Experience:  Based on grade level, one year of specialized experience which is directly related to the work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

OR

Education:  Successful completion of one full year of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree, if directly related. Related degrees may include Plant Biology, Entomology, Botany, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Agricultural Science.

OR
A combination of education and experience as described above.
