Art & Poetry Challenge - Racial Unity Team
Summer 2024 COLA Fellowship Program
The College of Liberal Arts (COLA) Global Racial and Social Inequality Lab (GRSIL) is hosting summer fellowship program for students enrolled in COLA majors. Rising COLA Juniors and Senior students with a passion for sustainable social justice and skills to promote positive change will be paired with a local organization to work for 6 weeks (dates may vary by host site). Hybrid mostly remote with one event being public. 15 hours per week.

Host Project:
Annual Art & Poetry Challenge – For six years, the Racial Unity Team has invited adults and students to create original works of poetry or visual arts to represent a vision of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and belonging. This year’s project invites New Hampshire to submit a poem or visual work of art inspired by this year’s theme of "BELONGING," which means giving people what they need to reach their full potential. Deliverables:
1. Developing the electronic virtual gallery for inclusion on our website
2. A power point report to the RUT leadership about the project and its results
3. A written article about the project for publication in local news media outlets (optional)
