Summary

This position is in Region 6, Superfund and Emergency Management Division, Assessment and Enforcement Branch, Enforcement and Cost Recovery Section.  About Region 6: https://www.epa.gov/aboutepa/epa-region-6-south-central.

This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will:

  • Conduct enforcement efforts in consultation with a case management team comprised of attorneys, Remedial Project Managers/On-Scene-Coordinators, and others to achieve enforcement goals and maximize cost recovery.
  • Develop strategies for negotiations and/or litigation.
  • Serve as a Work Assignment Manager (WAM), monitoring specific portions of work under contracts for cost-reimbursable, level-of-effort contracts.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
