FNS SNAS Program Analyst Intern (Virtual - Alexandria, VA) Fall 2024

USDA Agricultural Research Service is currently recruiting for an Program Analyst at Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) | Food and Nutrition Service (usda.gov) in Beltsville, MD for Fall 2024. The intern will fully participate in the activities of the WIC Program’s Vendor and Technology Branch. The branch is responsible for a variety of policy and training topics to ensure that the WIC Program is administered efficiently and effectively. 
The intern will be assigned a portfolio according to his or her skills/interests and branch needs, and have opportunities to receive training and attend Department-wide events, if interested

V&T assignments may include:
• Reviewing policy documents for grammar, accuracy, and clarity,  
• Assisting with contracting activities, including developing/reviewing statements of work and reviewing contract deliverables, (e.g., research reports, training materials, system documentation/functionality),
• Writing talking points, letters, etc., and 
• Analyzing/reporting on program data.
