Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer position to be based in Piscataway, NJ .

This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an
• experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, final working drawings and Geotechnical reports under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Performs Geotechnical investigation collecting and describing soil/rock samples in the field.
• Creates soil profiles based on data collected during the subsurface investigation program.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems including but not limited to foundation, retaining wall and support of excavation design, slope stability and seepage analysis, etc.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering.
• EIT.

• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Piscataway, NJ . The selected candidate must be available to work in Piscataway, NJ on a scheduled basis
• Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $77,500.00 - $85,000.00.
