Entry Level Hardware Engineer
Entry Level Engineer will provide AutoCAD and Engineering support to Senior or Lead Hardware Engineer. This position works in our corporate office in Louisville, Kentucky.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing controls systems for all Alliant Technologies’ vertical markets.
- Ability to read, understand, and implement a design from a customer specification.
- Requires basic understanding of UL508A and NEC.
- Ability to follow department standards.
- Develop designs with minimal supervision for MCPs that were previously designed.
- Provide Professional communications skills with team members, as well as all other Alliant Technologies employees.
- Provide proficient knowledge and courtesy to outside customers.
- Provide support for Supply Chain and Panel shop.
- Candidate will be entry level with the mindset to develop into a senior level Engineer.
Responsibility and Authority
- Responsibility: Noted above. Also provide quality workmanship in research and drawing development.
- Authority: Provide leadership to shop personnel when representing a customer’s panel build.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Electrical or ePlan a plus
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have Green card permanent resident status.
Language Ability
Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with co-workers and customers, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Alliant Technologies Employee Handbook and all company policies. Must be able to interpret written warnings as posted in all work areas in both the Alliant Technologies office or at any work site where Alliant Technologies performs work.
