Job Summary: 

The Arizona Exposition and State Fair seeks a Stage Lead to play a role overseeing our community entertainers the day of their performance, including regular communication and logistical support to our performers, Community Stage Coordinator, and Events team. This is a temporary, part-time position during the 2025 Arizona State Fair. This fun and unique position requires strong communication and independent judgment skills. 

Duties and Requirements: 

  • Communicating performance needs to audio engineers.
  • Assisting performers load in and load out by use of a golf cart as needed.
  • Ensuring the daily performers adhere to the schedule.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the community stage coordinator.
  • Documenting performance issues and/or concerns.
  • Ensuring the stage act adheres to the Community entertainers' Handbook.
  • Serve as a resource for the performer by representing the Arizona State Fair and its facilities.
  • Communicate effectively with the Fair crew, the community entertainers coordinator, and the performers.
  • Work with a diverse population.
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Able to identify and resolve problems with performers
  • A strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, display a professional demeanor, and have the ability to multitask when needed.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment commonly found on a stage. (e.g., lighting, sound, and stage areas, etc.)


 

Flexible weekend and evening schedules are required during the 2025 State Fair (Sep 19 - Oct 26, Thursdays -Sundays). Applicants should have access to reliable transportation. Applicants must have a valid Driver's License. Applicants must pass an employment background.
