Registered Dietitian
Belly Health is a virtual nutrition practice rewriting the narrative of how nutrition care works with our values of patient-centric, culturally competent, accessible care. Our team of Registered Dietitians specializes in treating and managing chronic GI conditions using evidence-based functional, integrative, and clinical protocols that come straight from the science. At Belly, we understand that food and nutrition are intimately connected to who we are – our dietitians go beyond the standard intake, attempting to connect with each patient in the context of their culture and in a language they feel at home in. All of this is made possible by our telehealth model, which is molded by our belief in making GI nutrition care accessible to all our patients.
We are seeking dietitians that are passionate about gut health and nutrition, and align with our core values. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients in a clinical setting, and possess the ability to provide customized nutrition plans and counseling to patients by meeting each one where they are. This will be a part-time, paid position.
Minimum Requirements:
What You Need
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license with a certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- A license to practice in the state of New York (CDN)
- At least 2 years of clinical experience working with patients in an outpatient clinical setting
Skills:
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in nutrition for a range of health needs including weight management, diabetes management, cardiac support, etc.
- Background or experience as a GI nutrition specialist preferred
- A keen interest in evidence-based functional and integrative nutrition. Experience and/or training in these area is preferred
- Clear and confident communicators who can empathetically engage with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Competence and comfort working in a digital environment
- Bilingual speakers preferred, particularly for Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Mandarin, Russian
Expected Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Work with patients from start to finish to support them in meeting their goals – conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop individualized dietary plans based on their needs, preferences, and health profile, and counsel them so they have the tools and confidence they need to implement the plan
- Be a part of a vibrant team of dietitians with the opportunity to learn from your colleagues and contribute to the development of company clinical protocols
- Receive training on GI conditions we work with that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to work with patients and advance in your career
- Keep gastroenterologists and other providers updated on patient advancements on a periodic basis

How We'll Mentor You
- We offer our dietitians regular opportunities to upskill and match your compensation with your aptitude. Once you’ve received our initial GI training to being working with patients, we will continue to offer periodic training options for members of our team who would like to work on more advanced cases, progress through levels of Belly’s GI dietitian certification, and be up for consideration for proportional increases in compensation
- Our lead dietitian encourages her RD team to foster a relationship with her. Dietitians are welcome to bring up questions and conversations with her regarding research advancements or professional challenges and goals.
