I loved the community! I was placed in a very welcoming and diverse community which made me feel very comfortable fitting in.

It would have been nice to have organized housing through BRI.

What I liked

I absolutely loved the opportunity to work on a real project that will have a significant impact on patients' lives. I actually helped in the process of optimizing the experiment protocol, so I wasn't just blindly doing manual labor.

What I liked

I loved being able to work in an Academic Research setting. I very much enjoy being in a lab and culturing cells.

What I wish was different

I wish I had learned a couple more techniques that I will most likely use later in my career in a wet lab.

Advice

Only make original mistakes; but failure comes hand in hand with failure. You have simply learned another method that does not work.

I love all of the molecular biology and biochemistry techniques and working in the lab setting with various post-doc students.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more undergraduate students in the lab.

If you're curious about research - try it - its a great experience to have!
