Perhaps more structure and clear set goals.

What I liked
I enjoyed working with kids. The environment was genuine and I feel like I learned life skills that I would not learn in a classroom
What I wish was different
It was a bit stressful due to it being an overnight camp. There was not a lot of time off, but the other counselors were very understanding if you needed to take a moment to yourself
Advice
Keep an open mind about your experience and be ready to get down and dirty!

You get to work with kids and directly see the impact you make on their life. You also get to meet some great people who you end up forming connections with.
